Speaking on policies and procedures communication
Situation
The Los Angeles Chapter of the Society for Technical Communication engaged Raymond to be the featured, guest speaker on his specialty: policies and procedures (P&P) communication
Action
Raymond presented a highly interactive and engaging presentation with his latest research on this discipline, experiences of client projects, anecdotes of his career, and slides showing samples of P&P information.
Results
Raymond’s presentation drew one of the largest audiences for chapter meetings that year. His interactive presentation inspired enthusiasm with his audience, so much so that many attendees remained networking among themselves more than 45 minutes afterwards. Attendees rated his presentation at 90 percent overall. Several have called upon him for client services. More than six other chapters in the Society have since asked Raymond to speak on his specialty.
